On concrete towers, sky high
I saw black raven's fly
Weaving a different freedom
Before land I'll never touch

The ivory city, armed with tall walls
Now sounds the soldiers calls
Escaped son brought home
Now Truth drips blood to stone

I need to see his eyes
Find any trace of fire
What caused us to think this way?
What inspired him to break away?

I need to find a way out of here
To the world where the raven's fly

From ear to ear their knives draw a grin
I heard the empire roar
But whispering a different sound,
Now lifeless, I'll never know

I need to breach these walls
Awaken from the darkened day
Who taught those birds to sing?
What beyond must their eyes have seen?
