To escape, a deathly dance
Driven by a desperate trance
Reach out for a second chance
Break through to another land

I’m another mark in the apothecary’s books
Just another stain on the soldier’s knife
I’m a whisper in the city square
But I’m something else out here

And the left behind won't seem to care
There's an iron face where tears should shed
In the city's passionless play, they're
Amused by a pleasant shade of grey

Now that I am marked for execution
